Make sure you are running some sort of antivirus software. You can purchase great software from Kapersky or download the free version of Microsoft Security Essentials. Medium to larger businesses with a file server should use something with centralized reporting like Symantec End Point Protection.
Most of you probably have Windows XP, Vista or 7. Make sure you turn on Automatic Updates. Best to let it automatically download and install them on a regular schedule.
Make sure you have some kind of backup for your photos and documents. If you haven't recently done a backup, close this website, insert a blank CD or DVD for pennies and burn a copy. Better yet, buy an external hard drive for less than $100. Even better, sign up for automatic backups with Carbonite to store your pictures and documents securely on the internet!
